It seemed that Cyrano de Bergerac was going to be unchallenged as the city's finest French restaurant, but now La Fontaine is fast catching up. Like its chief competitor, La Fontaine is also located deep underground in an historic cellar. The atmosphere here is romantic and elegant. Many classic French favorites are on offer. La Fontaine also offers a wide selection of meat dishes and a great wine list. The prices are fairly reasonable considering the standard of the food and the location.
