The lovely museum building was once Sintra's Casino, and later it became a school. Today it is a major cultural center. A highlight of Sintra's modern art museum is the permanent exhibition, "The Berardo Collection." This exhibit showcases art movements from 1945 through to present. These pieces are organized both chronologically and thematically. Enjoy the works of fine art, both sculptures and paintings, created by many of Europe's foremost artists.
