Oceanário de Lisboa was inaugurated in 1998 as one of the attractions of the World Exhibition of Lisbon (Expo '98). Oceanário de Lisboa is large, featuring four aquariums, which represent the four main areas of the globe, and a larger aquarium, located in the center of the building, which represents all the oceans as one.
