Wah Lok is a place for Cantonese cuisine as well as dim sum dishes. Dated but elegant decor greets diners from black lacquered chairs to golden Chinese murals on the walls. Wah Lok has a wide selection of dim sum dishes and they are all well prepared. Also worth trying are the double-boiled soups; prawns wrapped with shredded potatoes and seasonal dishes. The wine list is small mainly French and New World wines and a few Chinese labels. You may be better off bringing in your own drinks as there is, thankfully, no corkage charge.
