Leb-i Derya, which means "lip of the sea", is unlike any place you will find in Istanbul. The rooftop restaurant offers fascinating views of Sultanahmet Mosque, Bosphorus and the Old City. During the night, the glass roof allows you to admire the moon and stars while enjoying the soft breeze. The restaurant is upscale but not snooty, and offers the best in local and international cuisine. The specialties offered here are the grilled fillet, chicken salads, pastas and steaks all of which have a sort of mix of Turkish and non-Turkish flavors. Patrons can also grab a table at the Front Bar and enjoy sipping some hot coffee or refreshments.
