The Groveland Hotel's executive chef Greg Lutes achieved a Zagat rating of 27 before coming to this small town near the north west entrance to Yosemite National Park. Chef Greg finds his passion in all kinds of ethnic foods, an expression of his work begun in Chicago. His creative ability with food is currently specialized in California, mountain seasonal cuisine, rooted in French classics and utilizes organic and naturally raised and grown products. His emphasis on simplicity allows the quality of the ingredients to speak of the season and their freshness. Chef Greg Lutes' signature dish is a tribute to his own ethnic background, Veal Amsterdam with spaetzel. Find his seasonal menu on their website.
