Since 1973, the Knott's Berry Farm theme park has transformed itself into a bastion of Halloween-themed fun. While not suitable for children under 13, or those faint of heart, this scarefest grows increasingly popular each year. The costumes are monstrous and genuinely unnerving, and the amount of fake blood employed is startling just by itself. The event runs nightly, Thursday through Sunday. Note: no costumed guests are allowed in the park.
