To find this tiny restaurant on the busy Coast Highway, look for the sign of its famous neighbor Ti Amo Ristorante. In the 10ft-wide dining room, Laguna Thai managed to house two rows of tables, each fitting not much more than two plates and two glasses. Limited parking space is not hard to imagine. Yet still, the patrons don't stop coming. The Tom Kha Soup (coconut milk soup with chicken and vegetables) often impresses connoisseurs of Thai cuisine. Some of their other specialties are Pad Kra Prow (chicken sautéed in spicy chilies with basil sauce and bamboo shoots), and Ga Rhee Gai (yellow curry chicken). – Hoiyin Ip
