Skiing Magazine called this resort "A mountain with a distinctly split personality: a mild side and a wild side." On the wild side, 75 percent of the runs are for expert skiers. Natural hazards and an elevation of 8,637 feet gives extreme skiers enough challenges to keep them busy all day. On the mild side, students with mental and physical disabilities can enjoy the challenge of skiing at the Tahoe Adaptive Ski School. Adaptive equipment rental is also available. The school operates November through April most seasons depending on snow.
