This charming, free-standing restaurant with its distinctive two-story tower is a local secret, providing artful, French-inspired food with a Pacific Rim flair at reasonable prices. Entrées include standards such as Coq au Vin, created with boneless chicken in a red wine, mushroom and herb sauce, served on a bed of garlic mashed potatoes. Or try the tender Calves Liver Calvados, cooked in the signature apple liqueur of Normandy. All entrées are served with Carrot Croquettes, paté, a shrimp mousse with a crudité, and soup or salad. It is also open in the evenings at 5p onwards.
