The Del Mar Fairgrounds has been a self supporting asset of the 22nd District Agricultural Association. It is the venue for the famous San Diego County Fair. It also operates the Surfside Race Place, an all year satellite horse racing facility. It also hosts several trade shows, exhibitions, fairs, music festivals etc. All in all, it provides a variety of entertainment for the discerning tourist. There is also a nifty gift shop where you can buy unique souvenirs to take home. Whether you have a nose for a good bargain or would like to network with local businesses, the Fairgrounds ought to be earmarked as a must-see on any itinerary.
