Catch the spectacle of beautiful sunrise and sunsets at the Windansea Beach of La Jolla. The hot spot for surfing and sunbathing—the beach is always crowded with people of all generations. Its main attraction is the Surf Shack, which is a side-less hut created in Polynesian style by the early century Windansea surfers. Rebuilt at least three times, the Surf Shack is proudly designated as an historical landmark by the San Diego Historical Resources Board in 1998.
