A lively sushi bar and Japanese restaurant next to the Hotel Boulderado, Sushi Zanmai is one of Boulder's most popular dining destinations. The wild and largely incomprehensible commentary shouted by the sushi chefs as they prepare their delicate specialties makes sitting at the bar an adventure. And no one knows just when the owner will burst into song or pull out the saxophone. The bamboo furniture and Japanese decor provide a classy yet comfortable dining experience. Weekly karaoke and nightly sushi Happy Hours are popular events.
