While most of the Vail Valley is still in its traditional post-ski season slumber, the far-more residential town of Edwards (15 minutes west of Vail) is whooping it up with its annual Cinco de Mayo party. This all-day party honors Mexico's heritage by featuring traditional dancers, live entertainment, chili cook-offs, vendors, and all sorts of games and fun for the kids, including the whacking of pinatas. Revelers can also take advantage of all the shops and restaurants that line Edward's famed Riverwalk area.
