Sweet Basil has been pleasing palates as a mainstay of Vail's community since 1977. They serve upscale cowboy-inspired cuisine, typical of wealthy Colorado establishments. The large dining room can accommodate 100 people, but you might want to consider calling ahead, as Sweet Basil was rated by Zagat as the most popular restaurant in Colorado! You'll pay through the nose for trout and steak specialties, but you get what you pay for: stellar presentation and 500+ wines to choose from. Brunch served Saturday and Sunday from 11:30a-2:30p.
