The Calusa Nature Center and Planetarium combines nature with education. The 105-acre site contains a museum, aviary, winding nature trails, a gift shop, and meeting and picnic areas. The museum has information on Florida's history, especially the Calusa Indians who ruled southwest Florida for nearly 1,000 years. There are daily animal shows, snake feedings, and aviary tours. Admission to the Center is $4 for adults, $2.50 for kids under 12. Admission to the Planetarium is $3 for adults, $2 for kids under 12. Check the schedule for Planetarium show times.
