At the Village Café, you can feel like you've been transported to the south of France. Inside the quaint white building, located in Captiva Village Square, you can watch the chef prepare your food in the open kitchen. For starters, they have a Portobello mushroom topped with sun-dried tomato, asparagus, and goat cheese. Entrées come from the sea or from the butcher's block. Try Coriander crusted yellow fin tuna or duck almond-cherry. The wine list is extensive, and the ambiance is upscale casual. Reservations are strongly recommended.
