NoA man-made harbor, Hale'o'Lono is a tourists' dream come true. Offering scenic views of the turquoise blue sea, the harbor attracts hoards of tourists year after year thanks to the host of nautical events it is home it. The women's version of the Moloka'i Hoe, Na Wahine O Ke Kai, begins at Hale O Lono Harbor and traversing the Kaiwi Channel to end at Fort DeRussy in Waikiki, covering a total distance of more than 40 miles. This competition has been an annual event since 1979. The nearby beach is an ideal place to spend a lazy afternoon frolicking. Call the tourist information center for more information.
