The best way to enjoy the sights around Chicago River is by foot. Walk along the promenade, from the south shore to the Lakefront Bike Path along with a number of other walkers. If you get hungry or thirsty on the walk, there are several shops along the way serving various snacks and beverages. The most common sight here is seeing people munching on a hotdog or sipping on a cup of beer while strolling along the promenade.
