Located along the Chicago River in the Merchandise Mart's monolithic Art Deco building is Bluprint. Bluprint is the cities latest attempt at creating a modern American cuisine, while still maintaining the “meat and potatoes” of what makes American food great. What does this mean? Well, it involves updating classic dishes like pork chops, but giving them an uncharted spin by using not-so-common flavors, such as peaches and bourbon. The restaurant also applies this technique to its long list of custom well drinks, such as martinis with green tea or lychee fruit flavored liquor. If you're interested in trying the latest trends in American cuisine, head down to the Bluprint for a taste of the future.
