The owners of the ever-popular Dixie Kitchen next door bring this Caribbean restaurant—Calypso Cafe—to you. So what if it doesn't draw the same kind of crowds as its neighbor? For the Hyde Park area, you cannot do much better when it comes to fun, festive, theme dining. Tropical plants, waiters in tropical-print shirts and lively, tropical music greet you. Order a daiquiri, dig into some conch and shrimp fritters and try the barbecue ribs or parchment-baked red snapper. The pineapple upside-down cake is a tasty treat.
