This historic landmark is such an important part of the community because of the pioneering courage its famous inhabitants embodied. Most notable among them are statesman and painter, George Caleb Bingham, and later the Waggoners, a well-established flour milling family. Its 19th century architectural details, furniture and paintings are worth a look. Now offering tours at reasonable prices: adults $5, senior citizens $4.50, and children and students $2.
