Located in Independence, the library, one of 10 presidential libraries in the country run by the National Archives and Records Administration, houses 15 million pages of documents and 35,000 objects, all associated with the life and presidency of Harry Truman, whose hometown was Independence, Missouri. Truman and his wife, Bess, are buried in the courtyard on the grounds of this impressive library.
