Entertaining for adults and children alike, this weekend fair draws about 1,500 people per day. Popular activities include hayrides, a petting zoo, a dog show, a local craft fair, a pumpkin contest, square dancing and samplings from some of the best island fare. Sponsored by The Parks and Recreation Commission, this fun-filled day is held at the Tom Nevers Fairgrounds. A bus will take fair-goers from Nantucket center to the event; call ahead for bus times.
