Stanhope's inviting interiors and impeccable furnishings comprising leather and subtle upholstery are not its only selling points. The chef is known for conjuring up traditional American recipes, and redoing them in a contemporary fashion. Try the pumpkin seed crusted sea scallops, Smoked corn and snow-crab chowder and then round it all up with Warm chocolate-fondant cake. Dining or brunching at the open air terrace is another flighty alternative. Casual attire is permissible.
