If the kids are bored with miniature golf, and are yearning for something that escapes the bounds of ordinary, travel 35 minutes north to this spectacular underground chamber. Discovered in 1862 by a farmer's dog, these caverns are huge and are teeming with stalactites and stalagmites. All tours take place on a guided jeep-pulled tram. The underground temperature remains at or near 60 degrees, so dress appropriately.
