The atmosphere is casual in this converted neighborhood grocery. The bare wood floors and cream-colored walls are accented with paintings done by local artists. An open kitchen adds interest and allows patrons to watch their food being prepared. The menu is based on what is fresh and available and menu listings are long and descriptive. Traditional southern cuisine, sparked with influences from many other countries, is the bill of fare. A nationally known landmark, and favorite with local celebrities, it fills up every night.
