Serenade Restaurant was opened by owners James and Nancy Sheridan Laird in the year 1996. This couple's love story began in Ryland Inn's kitchen, where they both worked. James' claim to fame is that he was the first chef from New Jersey to win the coveted Robert Mondavi Culinary Award of Excellence. In fact, the eatery too has won the AAA Four Diamond Award and the Wine Spectator Award of Excellence. At Serenade, the cuisine is American but with a French twist—Scallops, Halibut, Calf's Liver etc. are all on offer. To complete the French experience, you have cheese and wine of course.
