Shelly's is the utterly impressive brainchild of owner Shelly Fireman, occupying an entire building on West 57th Street. It is certainly a step up from the theme restaurants that line the block. There are multiple rooms, including a terrace, a couple of smoky lounges and several dining rooms. Each one feels very masculine. The crowd is made up of mostly local business types with a few tourists thrown in the mix. There is an impressive raw bar, as well as lobster and steak.
