Every year in May, Old Fort Niagara keeps the colonial tradition of celebrating British King George III's birthday, which was once a major holiday celebrated in the colonies. Over 50 re-enactors gather at the fort to celebrate. British troop re-enactors of the Revolutionary War era participate in military ceremonies, tactical exercises and musket firing demonstrations. Public programs are offered every afternoon for both days between 1p-3p.
