This four-star restaurant on the Niagara Escarpment, voted one of the Top Ten Most Romantic Restaurants, is noted for their excellent food as well as the spectacular view. Originally opened as a more casual establishment in 1934 by the Schimschack family, it was frequented by Marilyn Monroe and Joe DiMaggio during the filming of "Niagara" in 1952. The dining room is built on four tiers and has floor to ceiling windows. They are known for their prime rib and other entrees include rack of lamb, steaks and seafood. One of the house specialties is barbecued baby back ribs. Desserts include bananas Foster, a flaming dessert served tableside. - Christine A. Smyczynski
