Marcelita's Mexican Restaurant is an award-winning Hudson tradition, having been open since 1978. Its menu aims for authentic Mexican food instead of the more common American Tex-Mex, which to Marcelita's means “flavors rather than hotness.” Marcelita's offers the usual combination plates, enchiladas, nachos, burritos, and tacos. There are also several dinner specials, such as Veggie Fajitas with squash, zucchini, yams, broccoli, peppers and onions, or Pollo con Frijoles Negros, a chicken breast black bean stew. Marcelita's also offers several signature margaritas, with a happy hour between 3-7p on weekdays. Live bands also play Marcelita's on Friday and Saturday evenings. - Marjorie Jensen
