Gooseberry Beach offers all you could expect, a sandy beach for sunning and people watching, rocks and tidal pools for exploring the tidal marine creatures. As with most beaches an early start is advised, but don't forget the late afternoon when many beachgoers pack it in for the day and leave room for those interested in relaxing and picnicking until sunset. Facilities include changing areas, restrooms, showers and light food service. Lifeguards maintain daily schedules. -Donald Oat Jr.
