The Grand Strand Fishing Rodeo has competition venues placed all over the Grand Strand and lasts for six months. Awards are given in male, female and youth categories in the divisions of pier, surf and inlet, and deep sea catches. Prizes total over USD10,000, and the grand prize is USD2000. Areas include the coastal water lying from the North Carolina line at Little River southward to below Murrells Inlet. There is no entry fee. Call the Myrtle Beach Camber of Commerce for details on the April to October season.
