The Tennessee Renaissance Festival is a medieval attraction for the whole family. Set among the trees and slopes of a wooded hillside, the festival evokes the charm and atmosphere of Robin Hood's Sherwood Forest. Craftsmen and vendors share a variety of goods to accent any medieval costume including crowns, gowns, swords and jewels. Food is available within the festival grounds, but no outside food is permitted. Events of the festival are centered around different themes for each weekend and culminate in the Memorial Day jousting tournament. All festival personnel are adorned in period-piece costumes and patrons are welcome to join in the medieval pageantry.
