Have you ever been on a road trip and stopped in a small town to see "the world's largest ball of twine" or some other such oddity? It just doesn't seem worth it once you get there does it? Well, the 35-minute drive east of Chattanooga to Sweetwater is worth it. This 4-acre underground lake is truly a marvel and registered with Guinness as the world's largest. Inside are a series of caves known as Craighead Caverns. A must see! Admission: $10 adults, $5 ages 12 and under.
