Located in a building that reminds one of the olden days in Oak Cliff with uneven masonry. The restaurant inside done up in bold colors with a decor typical of Mexico. El Ranchito serves some original and fine Mexican cuisine specializing in Comida Norteño and Tex-Mex. Guiso Picoso, which is a beef stew with diced green peppers, onion, tomatoes, jalapeños served with rice and refried beans is red hot! It is well know all over Dallas for its authentic Mexican food. The atmosphere is festive with the mariachis band playing daily creating an atmosphere where one feels as if he is back home in Monterrey. The salsa is really good and they serve fresh tortillas too. They also have an extensive menu with all sorts of traditional northern Mexican fare.
