Located 20 minutes north of Dallas off I-35 at the Lake Dallas exit, this 50-year-old local institution is famous for all-you-can-eat fried catfish dinners. Diners are greeted at their tables with complimentary baskets of hot, golden hush puppies accompanied by ice-cold pats of butter. Crispy cornmeal battered catfish filets or whole catfish are served family style. Most dinners are accompanied by a visit to the small salad bar and a baked potato. Rib-eye steaks are juicy and tender. Service may occasionally be slow on weekends, however, there is a full bar available while diners wait.
