A competitor of Galveston's prestigious Gaido's, this motel cafe attracts diners well beyond the limits of the motel registry. In fact, if you were to ask around the dining room, you would find that many of the diners drove from Houston to enjoy the offerings and ambience - even in the middle of the week. The kitchen specializes in turning out fish and seafood dishes that easily compete with Gaido's quality - at a fraction of the price. In fact, the deals are so good, it is amazing that Gaido's continues running strong. Breakfast items are much less "fishy", of course, but they are equally delicious.
