Don't let the name fool you. Crapitto's Cucina Italiana is a family owned restaurant in a wonderful, 75-year old converted farmhouse tucked away under a few lovely live oaks on a side street near the Galleria. They don't put on airs here. They simply provide impeccable, unobtrusive service, in a warren of cozy dining areas (including a delightful outdoor patio), and top it off with delicious, lovingly, simply prepared food like Grandma's Lasagna and Linguine with Clams. Save room for the lip-smacking homemade cheesecakes or creamy Tiramisu for that matter! This place is just fancy enough to take your in-laws, business associates, or romantic interest. Be prepared to valet.
