Savory Texas-style barbecue, voted the best in Galveston County, has been the main attraction at this family restaurant for more than 25 years. Slow-smoked beef, sausage, ribs and ham are all available as platters with your choice of side dishes and bread, or you can have it served on a bun if that is your preference. Barbecue purists will especially enjoy the hearty build-your-own rib sandwich. Meats are available by the pound, and side orders like potato salad, cole slaw and barbecue beans are also available in quantity. Kiddie plates include a drink and are inexpensive enough to leave plenty of dough to treat the kids to dessert. They will love the hand-cranked ice cream. Tea and soft drinks are available, along with a limited selection of domestic beers.

Not impressed. The BBQ sauce wasn't that great, neither was the smoked turkey or the beans. Overall an unimpressive plate, but I should have known that....
