With the bulk of Austin’s Indian restaurants on the far north side of the city, India Kitchen's East Austin location is a welcome alternative to those who don’t want to drive across town for an authentic Indian meal. The large menu offers lots of vegetarian dishes, along with chicken, lamb, goat and seafood dishes flavored with a number of spice blends and sauces, as well as the signature Hyderabad Biryani, a spiced rice dish with vegetables and meat. For the indecisive among us, India Kitchen lays out a buffet for both lunch and dinner, seven days a week, that includes appetizers, salad, several vegetarian and non-vegetarian entrées, and dessert. - Christine Whalen

I ordered over the phone then came to pick it up. I thought the food was delicious and fresh, well spiced. I would recommend it and will definitely go back.
