This is one of the few stadiums in the country that employs state-of-the-art technology in its operations. A wide gamut of events have been held in this high-tech complex, which is tucked away in the foothills of the Wasatch Mountains. Concerts by bands, such as U2, Chicago, the Beach Boys, the Rolling Stones, ‘N Sync, and soccer matches and football games have entertained one and all. Rice-Eccles Stadium has a capacity to hold 45,634 spectators. It underwent a whopping $50 million renovation for about a year before opening its doors in September 1998. It is truly one of the most beautiful and modern stadiums in the country.
