If you are interested in the history of Seattle and the Pacific Northwest, Museum of History and Industry has all the information you need. Exhibits tell the story of the city, from the 1800s to the present. You can even take a walk through a display of the streets of old Seattle and relive the Great Seattle Fire. Other exhibits include Boomtown Seattle during the Klondike Gold Rush, A Change of Worlds, the vanishing race of the Puget Sound Indian peoples, Maritime History and late 19th- and early 20th-century quilts. The museum also houses a huge collection of Pacific Northwest historical materials, with more than 800,000 books, manuscripts, maps and photographs about the region in its archives.
