Bobby's in Everett, about 20 minutes north of Seattle, is a destination worthy of the drive. There are only about half a dozen Hawaiian/Polynesian restaurants in the greater Seattle area, and Bobby's is hands-down the best. The rich flavor of the Kalua pig is a treat from the heavens itself. The chicken long rice, which is chicken noodle soup-like, is pleasing comfort food. The menu is a well-rounded sampling of traditional Hawaiian dishes such as saimin (a noodle soup similar to pho), barbecued meats, macaroni salad (a staple of Hawaiian cuisine), and Loco Moco (a uniquely Hawaiian affair consisting of rice topped with an egg, fried Spam, and brown gravy). - Katie Kinney
