Make a detour on your drive along the North Shore to see the remains of a circa 1750 Danish Plantation. Sitting right in the middle of an upscale neighborhood, these ruins are named after a Judith who is buried on the property. Take Hamilton Drive to Caribe Road for a stroll among the ruins. Park along the road. The area overlooks Salt River Bay, where Christopher Columbus tangled with the Carib Indians on his 1493 visit. You must register at the guard house when you enter the neighborhood, but there is no admission charge.
