An island favorite, the very casual Coral Bay Yacht Club puts on this regatta every Thanksgiving weekend in late November. You will see some top-notch racing crews set sail, but most skippers are weekend sailors and live-aboards. The competition is keen, but main the idea is fun. Single-handed racers take to the course outside Coral Bay Harbor on Friday, while crewed yachts head out on Saturday. If you would like to crew, stop by race headquarters at Skinny Legs Bar and Restaurant to see who needs help. Be sure to stick around for the energetic post-race parties. Skippers pay a USD30 entry fee, but parties are free.
