Virgin Islands National Park's Trunk Bay is lovely. Palm trees shade the nether reaches of this sandy strand, providing cover for the hordes of cruise ship passengers who visit here on tour. Go early or late if you want to enjoy the beach's beauty. The underwater snorkeling trail is a tad overrated, but if this is your only chance to snorkel, it is worth getting wet. The beach sports cool showers, flush toilets, a snack bar, small gift shop and snorkel gear rental operation.
