Great hotel in the center of Adelaide
This is a very good hotel and I had an enjoyable stay. There is enough to do downtown and close to the hotel that I had no problems finding things to do after work. The one problem was that unless it was Friday night, all of the stores and Rundle Mall close early. At least compared to US store closing times... The Sky City casino is within walking distance and has good food. The beach is about 10-15 minutes away if you take the tram. The river is close enough to walk by or run around in the morning. And the botanical gardens and museums are within walking distance. The cricket stadium is close by, and the football/soccer stadium is a short tram/bus ride away. The parking garage for this hotel is under it. The spaces are pretty tight, but I had no problem finding one and parking a mid-size car. The hotel bar had a free drink and snack night for guests on Tuesday nights (5:30-6:30). And the staff here is one of the best in the world. There was a computer available to guests in the lobby to access the internet. Because internet in-room cost 27/day (22/day if you stay a long time). Or there are a few Internode wireless hotspots in the area, but not accessible from inside the hotel. The weight room and pool were pretty standard. I didn't watch very much TV while I was there, but I think they should upgrade to LCD TV's in the room. I would stay there again, but only if my company is paying for it or if I'm using my priority club points. I'm too cheap to sleep at a nice place on my vacation/holiday, I'm usually never at my hotel on vacation/holiday.
Great hotel in the center of Adelaide
On checking in, we received comments of saying that all the rooms were overbooked and that they had no space for us. However, we had all our reservations from a month ago. They eventually found room in a 'suite' room that was as good as a single room. We had a disgusting time there.
