Short and simple--the Hotel is OK, the staff are friendly. You want more, wel you pay more. The next hotel comparable was about 65% more in price. You have to consider that as well. The people who lefet bad reviews are the same who expect something for nothing. If you want alot of luxury then you may want to spend more. Otherwise it is a good hotelfor the pricepoint.

This is an old run down hotel, Rooms are small, windows crummy, sink falling off wall. Book it now! It will be remodled later this year.

From reading the comments of others, we weren't expecting great things, but we were pleasantly surprised. All workers there were very friendly. Attached restaurant/bar has great food. Don't rent a car unless you need to--parking downtown cost 27 for 4 hours and that was cheap. Public transportation is very accessible and safe. Would we stay there again? Absolutely! Yes, the rooms are small but I the location is great! It's away from all the skyscrapers and it's right across the street from Lincoln Park.
